Boy Doing Nicely After Serious Car Crash
Billy Young six, son of Mr and Mrs Terry Young of north of the city, was seriously injured Friday night when struck by a car driven by Waldo Z H Rangust twenty four of Oakland California near his home. He was reported doing fairly nicely Saturday night at the General hospital. He had darted across the highway after getting out of a car and was struck by the front fender and bumper of the Bangust machine, Deputy Sheriff Harold Ferguson reported. The boy was dragged several feet before the car stopped.

Nine year old girl linked to fatal shotgun incident
In San Francisco a 9 year old boy, David Henry Antolini, died from a shotgun blast after a dispute over funny books.
