Mystery steamer afire reported far from Durban
The British steamer Harlow from Newport News says on July 27 it passed a vessel ablaze about 1180 miles from Durban. The name could not be identified before the ship was destroyed by an explosion. It is believed to be the Warath, a British steamer of 600 aboard, not heard from since July 26.
