In Eagley near Anadarko Oklahoma a confrontation between two strangers and Rhone Gonzales ended with two men dead and a third badly wounded. Gonzales, a one armed Mexican, says the attackers demanded food and shelter after being refused work. Knives were used in the deadly clash.
New York September 1 States Attorney General Mayer arrived to interview members of the legislature the insurance investigation committee and its counsel about political campaign funds contributed by life insurance companies. It was reported that money paid out might be restored to insurers but would not prevent possible action.
