Canned fruits four juice varieties and tomato products see sharp boosts with tomatoes at 20 points per number two can and peaches pears and pineapple up to 80 points for large cans. Pineapple juice to 50 and tomato juice to 20. Processed items like jams jellies fruit butters asparagus corn and soups are removed from rationing. OPA chief Chester Bowles said the changes reflect removal of vegetables and added that new values run through Sept. 30 and will end when rationing ends.
