New York Mayor Gaynor Dies at Sea
Mayor Gaynor died on the steamer Baltic in mid-ocean at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from heart failure. The news came via wireless to Rufus W. Gaynor, his son, and was read by secretary Robert Adamson. Mrs. Gaynor learned of the death by telephone. The Baltic was 250 miles west of Queenstown and due there Friday afternoon.
