Farm Girl, 15, To Face Murder Trial
SANDPOINT First degree murder charges were filed today against Charlotte Burns a 15 year old farm girl accused of killing her father with a hammer. Prosecutor Robert E. McFarland said she was remorseful and asked what the outside world would do to her. The girl and her 12 year old brother Louis were arrested near Coeur d Alene after Charles Burns 67 was found beaten to death. Officers said she admitted hitting her father with a three pound hammer because he failed to keep promises to take her on trips and had beaten and threatened her.

Polio Strikes 12 Victims In Seven Days
