Floats Set For Celebration Labor Day Parade
Twenty four floats will participate in the Labor Day parade on September 6 at 10 a m with more expected. Gentral Labor union chairman M M C Larsen named judges Fred Dalton Jack Alvard and King Lindsay. The city band and Pocatello high school pep band will provide music. Participants gather at the high school and march through Wyeth Main Center Arthur Bonneville Main Center to Caldwell park for a noon program with Rampton Barlow solos and talks by James Bowns Henry C O Leary and W C Wright.

August Air Flights Show Drop Locally
Air operations at Pocatello Municipal Airport fell in August due to dust storms and high winds. Stan Dilatush, local CAA chief, cited totals dropping from 9272 in July to 7422 in August, a decline of about 2000, with most categories showing weaker activity.

Blind Finish Lava Meeting Draws Prolific Attendance
About 55 members of the Idaho Progressive Society of the Blind held a two day convention in Lava Hot Springs. Lava Lions club sponsored the event for the third year. Attendees included 18 Idaho and 37 Utah representatives with officers from both states. Utah funded travel for five Utah chapters. Highlights featured a luncheon at State Park, swimming in the natatorium, a dance, a business session, a banquet and evening entertainment at Lava Community Building with Harold E. Thomas as master of ceremonies and Mayor Jack Ramsey assisting.

Police Court Plea Deals Trim Vagrancy and Stop Signals
In a Police Court row, William Arthur Everhart pleaded guilty to vagrancy and paid a $15 fine. Vern P Hough and Keith L Frame also pleaded guilty for stop signal violations with fines of $7.50 and $2.50 respectively. Reginald J Denney speed case also guilty with a $10 fine. William A Wood and F D Priest faced stop signal offenses with $10 fines each, with portions suspended. Lloyd J Ellis guilty for reckless driving at $25 with $10 suspended. Kent Evans forfeited a $15 bond. Issued to several youths and adults including Ray Armstrong and Nancy Lee Smith. Youth Subject At Meeting At Pocatello Chamber Event
National Youth month and Pocatello's Silver Dollar Day program were the topics at the Retail bureau meeting in the Hotel Whitman.
