Idaho health officials announced a long range plan with the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis to expand outpatient polio treatment. Dr. Madeline M. Donnelly said ten physiotherapists are needed to reopen outpatient centers in Boise Caldwell Twin Falls Rupert Idaho Falls and Pocatello and noted Idaho has the nation's highest polio incidence with 35 cases per 100 000.

C. M. Jeffery Dies After Short Illness
C M Jeffery, 63, of 56 Cotton Avenue, Bannock County prosecutor for four terms, died Wednesday evening after a brief illness in a local hospital. Born August 18, 1886 in Puyallup Washington, he moved to Pocatello in 1920 and lived here 29 years. He married Johanna Ruff Sept 22 1924 in Salt Lake City. Funeral services set for 2 p m Saturday at McHan Henderson chapel with Rev O R Warford officiating. Surviving are his wife six children plus siblings and stepfamily. He was active in Democratic circles and belonged to several fraternal and professional groups.

Boy 13 Loses Foot in Hay Chopper Accident
Bobby Cornelison 13 of Fort Hall slipped into a hay chopper blower while helping on the Cornelison ranch east of Fort Hall. He sustained a badly mangled right foot and leg which required amputation below the knee after transfer to St Anthony's hospital in Pocatello.
