Three shots were fired at the Belgian king as he headed to a Te Deum service for Queen Marie Henriette. An Italian named Rubino was arrested after confessing anarchist beliefs. A window was broken and the grand marshal was grazed.
Des Moines November 15 Jeff Logan plans a possum supper in Des Moines during the month with hopes of an autograph request to President Roosevelt. The exact date is pending due to possum season and frosts. The event, dating back about twenty years, has grown from a few attendees to about thirty five guests in Logan's home.
The American Board of Foreign Missions will end all official support for religious work in the Hawaiian Islands by year end after eighty three years of involvement. The withdrawal follows recent reports from Hovolalo and San Francisco dated November 8 and November 15 respectively.
St Joseph Missouri November 15 Burling ton switchmen have received a raise of 4 cents an hour and helpers 8 cents an hour in a voluntary action by the railroad. The move aims to improve labor conditions as part of ongoing wage adjustments.

Archibald Bryant and his wife Bertha quarreled at their East Portland home. They threw carbolic acid at each other and were burned, Bryant more severely. Both about twenty one, Bryant jailed awaiting a bearing for assault and battery. They will be scarred for life.

In St Louis on November 15 Judge Judy Adams sentenced W W Chinn proprietor of the Verona matrimonial bureau to eighteen months in the Missouri penitentiary for using the mails to defraud. Chinn pleaded guilty to the indictment.
Richard Miller a carpenter at Holy Cross hospital died after suffering lockjaw following a foot nail accident. He stepped on a nail ten days earlier and the wound became infected leading to the fatal illness. His intense suffering was reported as terrible.
San Francisco reports the whaling bark Andrew Hicks returns from the Okhotsk with eighty three barrels of oil from a single sperm whale, the poorest catch yet. The steam whaler William Baylies arrives from the Arctic after reaching 74 degrees 10 minutes, yielding five whales and about 9500 pounds of chase and oil valued at a placeholder sum.
