The jury found he acted in self defense when his son in law Tom Walton Jr was shot at Hamiltons Amarillo law office last May. The acquittal followed a tight poll and rapid verdict. Theresa Hamilton his 18 year old daughter tied to Walton through a secret university era marriage.
