Training Course Opens Wednesday
Miss Olea Carlsen of the national Girl Scout staff will arrive in Pocatello on Wednesday to conduct a training course for girl scout leaders and council members. Leaders meet at Memorial building 7 30 p m on Wednesday Thursday Friday Monday and Tuesday. Brownie pack leaders meet at Memorial building 10 a m Thursday Friday Monday and Tuesday. Council members meet Saturday at 2 p m with Miss Carlson at the Bannock hotel and later with leaders at their Thursday evening meeting with refreshments.

Wilford Humpherys aged 35 a member of CCC camp F-213 in St George Utah was crushed to death when an overhanging ledge in a sandpit near the camp gave way. He was a native of Paris Idaho and survived by his mother Mrs Jane Humphreys two brothers Leland and Melvin and sister Ira May all of Salt Lake City.

In Emmett Idaho Forrest Alplanalo a 16 year old sophomore at Emmett high school hanged himself yesterday in a local facility with no explanation offered authorities said.

Boy Found Hanged At Rural Family Farm
A boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Alplanalo, was found hanging by a rope at the farm where he helped after skipping school for farm work. He was left alone for a while while his parents visited relatives. Officers said no inquest would be held.

Veteran Gibson Dies at 87 After Civil War Service
Emery Menzo Gibson, 87, Civil War veteran who marched with General Sherman through Georgia, died yesterday in Price Utah. He enlisted August 1862 in the 105th Illinois infantry and concluded service in June 1865. He is survived by three sons.
