In Idaho Gooding wins by at least 8000 votes and Hughes secures a New York seat as Bannock County voters back the full Republican ticket. Precincts favor Democrats but do not alter the final outcome.

Returns show 211 Republican and 155 Democratic representatives elected, with 20 districts still unsettled. The House has 386 seats. even if Democrats win the remaining districts, Republicans would retain control. Notable GOP defeats include Lacey Iowa Babcock Wisconsin and Wadsworth New York. James gains Kentucky third district.
New figures confirm the re election of Congress man Howell and Joseph Ed Frick, both Republicans, by over ten thousand. The American party collapsed against Mormon and Republican strength, with Republicans winning the entire county ticket by five hundred to fifteen hundred plurality. Americans only held a constable and a Salt Lake City justice of the peace, with about a thousand plurality each.
Louisville on November 7 reports returns are complete with Governor Beckham ahead of Senator McCreary for the United States Senate by about two thousand votes.

Scattered returns show Gillette the Republican likely winner for governor by about ten thousand, while Republicans claim a larger plurality. Democrats declare Bell victorious without figures. Eight Republicans win congressional seats and the legislature also favors the Republicans.
Missouri returns to the Democratic column as heavy gains over two years ago give the party control of the legislature in both chambers with a roughly thirty vote Democratic majority on joint ballot.
