Two hundred Yale students stormed police headquarters to free four arrestees in a two hour riot. Bricks and fruit flew, 600 students joined, and reserves were deployed as Dean Mendell sought to pacify leaders. Two more students were arrested amid barricades and peppered by eggs and bricks.
Nearly a thousand citizens joined Bannock County ceremonies at Memorial hall and a Portneuf river wreath service honoring Marines and Sailors who died at sea. Idaho National Guard fired a volley as 4 squads saluted, with speakers and students paying tribute to Civil War through World War II veterans.
Eleftherios Venizelos declares readiness to enter Greek politics as a liberal leader while health improves. He rejects presidency now, offers to abandon politics if royalists accept the republic, and lauds Kondouriotis's impartial crisis handling over monarchy's partiality.
