Idaho Falls Officer Shoots Man After Street Altercation
Idaho Falls May 25 Theodore Duffy lies in serious condition at a local hospital from a gunshot wound fired by William Heyward an elderly police officer. Duffy had severely beaten Heyward on the street as other officers were bringing Duffy toward the station the shot was fired. Heyward remains in bed with no charges filed at this time. James E Higgins says both he and Duffy were intoxicated at the time offering only hazy recollections of the incident.
