Nobile Starts Northward On Polar Flight

The Italia dirigible began a 30 to 40 hour northward voyage from Kings Bay toward the Pole with General Nobile and scientists aboard. The cross from Pope Pius was to be planted or dropped at the Pole, weather permitting, as plans included landings and investigations of temperatures winds and magnetic variations.
