North Side Lands Nearing Exhaustion in Twin Falls Project

The Statesman reports rapid settlement of the Twin Fall-Salmon project as 30,000 acres of the north side canal lands and most of the north side segregation are already taken. Jerome opening drew nearly 40,000 acres. only about 25,000 of 180,000 remain available for entry. H. L. Hollister notes steady influx of settlers with means, including proxies and improvements on the south side, with excursions from Chicago bringing 17 entrymen for 2,200 acres. Future excursions push for 24 land seekers as advertising through stereopticon lectures and church meetings proves effective before the May opening of 30,000 acres on Salmon river lands.
