First Security Bank of Utah Formed In Consolidation
First Security Corporation merges First National Bank of Salt Lake City and First Security Bank of Utah with the banking activities of the First Security Trust company in Salt Lake City to create the largest Utah bank with over 8 million in capital and 125 million in deposits. The plan, announced by George S. Eccles Fred E. Smith and Charles L. Smith, will be put to stockholders on April 26.
