Idaho Man Promoted in Italy by 15th AAF
Floyd G. Pope 24 of Blackfoot has been promoted to technical sergeant in the 15th AAF. An aerial engineer on an 18th AAF B 17 Flying Fortress unit in Italy he entered the service in January 1942 after attending Amarillo airplane mechanics school and Las Vegas gunnery school in May 1942. He is the son of Mrs Mary Pope of 183 North Dakota Street Blackfoot and his wife Mrs F G Pope lives on West Sexton Street Blackfoot.

Mrs Sam Young on a Wyoming ranch fed stock with her 13 year old daughter after her husband and son were away. They found two moose in the feedlot.
