Hillsville Va March 15 reports say Floyd Allen and son Victor were arrested with Strickland after a courthouse shooting left officers killed and jurors wounded. Authorities press into the mountains seeking the Allen gang as Betty Ayers dies from wounds.
Lincoln Nebraska March 15 No definite trace had been found early today of the three convicts who escaped from the Nebraska state penitentiary in a blinding snow storm after an outbreak in which the warden deputy warden and an usher were killed and a guard slightly wounded The escaped prisoners were clad only in prison garb It is believed they were aided by confederates on the outside A posse pursuing them yesterday returned to the city exhausted due to deep snow drifts.
