Clipper Will Start Survey For New Zealand Route

Pan American Airways announced plans to send a 32 passenger clipper on a 7000 mile survey flight from San Francisco to Auckland New Zealand within three days with stops at Honolulu Kingman and Pago Pago A six man crew will operate the four motor Sikorsky craft from the Golden Gate to Auckland the first leg to Honolulu covering 2410 miles. The airline expects to cut the current 19 day steamship travel to about four days during this pioneer flight.

Hospital Planned By Local Group

Spinney Dies at 83 Noted Baseball League Organizer

John A. Spinney, 83, retired sporting goods merchant and organizer of the early Federal and United States baseball leagues, died after a brief illness in East Cincinnati Ohio on March 11.
