A Boise report states an appropriation of 30000 dollars for extra land for the Idaho Technical school passed in a senate bill. Senator Adams said the finance committee altered the adverse recommendation after noting Pocatello donated 100 acres and four city blocks to the school earlier.
Ada county prosecuting attorney Elbert S Delano reports Dr Charles S Moody a Idaho legislator and former adjutant general was arrested for filing a false certificate to the state a small travel payment linked to Washington no money returned bond posted by H Hoff and George Paterson. Legislature continues accounting probe with promises of further complaints and ongoing appropriations fights as the session nears its end.
The Daughters of the American Revolution state conference will convene March 8 in the Commercial club rooms. A Friday reception occurs at 8:30 p.m. at Mrs H ay Kittlesey's home. Governor Davis signed boxing bill No 445 creating a commission to supervise all boxing and professional athletic events. The measure passed the Senate unanimously and the House 51 to 10 with Representative Carrie Harper White and Mrs Drake among its backers. The bill limits bouts to twenty three minutes and authorizes four ounce gloves.
Tovin James a second year gang leader at the Pocatello Short Line shops was fatally injured when 248 boiler flues carried by an overhead crane fell and struck him He died shortly after arriving at the emergency hospital He was 27 from Greece and survived by his parents and several brothers Funeral arrangements are pending at McHan parlors.

Paris March 7 A memorandum urging the peace conference to adopt an extended program to protect farmers worldwide was presented to the American delegation by Charles S Barrett national president of the Farmers Union of United States The memo seeks a league of nations body directly in charge of international agriculture and calls for Rome's International Agricultural Institute extension and a uniform crop estimating system.
