George Walters a squawman returned to the Fort Hall reservation and attacked Charles Faulkner and his family with a revolver stunning Faulkner. Walters aimed at the entire family and threatened the agency superintendent Major Caldwell. Indian police arrested him and he was detained at Ross Fork awaiting transport. Authorities hope for stiff court action to set an example.
