All Fourth of July committees are summoned to meet at 8 30 p m tonight in the Commercial club rooms Y M C A building to report progress and finalize Independence Day plans President J T Young calls for full attendance with important matters to be discussed.
The city prepares a grand Independence Day program with committees for each function. A morning parade features decorated autos, floats, and Indian contingents, followed by auto and motorcycle races at the fair grounds. Evening boxing between Cyclone Thom and Peter Sullivan tops the program, with dances at Eagle hall and McNichols Wright hall for non boxing fans.
Governor Brady accepts Commercial club invitation to spend Independence Day in his hometown Pocatello cancels Boise Chautauqua engagement to greet friends and celebrate with locals. He expresses warm appreciation for the reception and describes wanting a quiet, meaningful holiday with the people. He ends with praise for Pocatello as a friend.
London report says Captain F B Cody, instructor in aeronautics for the British war department, fell from about one hundred feet during a flight at Aldershot. He was pinned under the wreckage and seriously injured as the aeroplane crashed to the ground.

Porter Charlton, husband of Mrs. Mary Scott Charlton, confessed to killing her during a quarrel at a villa on Lake Como. He stated he struck her with a wooden mallet three times and dumped her in a trunk pulled from the water. Charlton was arrested in Hoboken after disembarking the steamship Princess Irene and later tried to shoot the police chief before confessing. He added a postscript exonerating C. K. Ispolatoff.
Ezra Meeker arrives in Pocatello to discuss Fourth of July plans and site work for a monument at Fort Hall. He aims to mark the old Oregon trail with Oregon Trail inscriptions at crossings, amid congressional moves to fund markers and monuments along the route.
Governor Brady signed papers on Tuesday to discharge Robert Johnson from custody and restore his rights. Johnson had been imprisoned in Idaho State Prison at Boise since 1905 after a Bannock county district court convicted him of first degree burglary and sentenced him to seven years.
Washington June 23 by unanimous consent the house refused to concur with senate amendments to the public buildings bill and the measure will be sent to conference.

Reno June 23 Jeffries and his staff worked on a site survey and stakeout as lumber arrived for the arena. Jim Jeffries himself joined the group in a morning baseball session with trainers.
Reno June 23. Due to harsh comments by John L. Sullivan about Jeffries and Corbett in his newspaper writings on the big fight, Sullivan plans to skip visiting Jeffries training quarters at Moana Springs unless he gets a friendly reception. Tex Rickard says he will try to fix the rift between the men.
Democratic members, dissenting from the majority report submitted by Senator Lodge, authorize hiring an expert to review the findings. The minority plan to prepare its own report for the Senate.
An informal canvass of the senate indicates it will yield from its opposition to the house amendment to the sundry civil bill. The exemption would protect any act not in itself unlawful by athor organizations from prosecution under the Sherman anti trust law.
