Pageant Plans for American Falls Celebration Details

The American Falls dam celebration committee met to map the program with tentative arrangements. Governor Charles C. Moore may be invited to introduce Secretary of the Interior Hubert Work as principal speaker, with a shortened speaking lineup and interspersed band music. A Bannock chieftain in regalia will speak in his native tongue. The full program aims for continuous activity with daylight fireworks in three segments, roundups, a baseball game, and various features. Negotiations with several bands and a historic pageant titled The Spirit of Idaho are under way, while budget delays hinder finalization and concessions for lunches and soft drinks may be sought.
