Shock Fatal to Fred Keane 46 in Idaho
Fred Keane 46 of 204 South Johnson Avenue was electrocuted at 11:30 am while entering his car beside an abandoned tin shack at 252 South Main Street. A shorted wire in the shack energized a garbage can in an alley, and Keane touched the can as he stepped into his vehicle. Frank Keane escaped injury when he pulled Fred from the current. Firemen and Dr. J. R. Young could not revive him. Coroner Arthur W. Hall indicated an inquest was unlikely. Police kept onlookers from the scene as electricians checked the line, which reportedly carried 220 volts.
