Floods and tornadoes in southern Nebraska killed sixteen and left hundreds missing as 11 counties flooded. The Republican River surged to two and a half miles wide with millions in damages. Army boats arrived for rescue from Oxford to McCook as officials predicted up to 250 deaths.
The president dismissed 411 court actions tied to Blue Eagle wage hour and fair trade codes, signaling a full retreat from NRA restrictions. He sent letters erasing official status from code authorities while debating farm program amendments and potential constitutional changes.
