Widow of the Transportation Wizard to be honored guest of Short Line officials at their fish preserve on the North Fork of Snake River. Delayed by letters as to site of proposed Harriman University.
Mrs. E. H. Harriman widow of the western railroad wizard will spend the summer at Railroad ranch on the north fork of the Snake River near Island Park Idaho. She expects to leave New York June 10 and will be hosted by Bancroft Lovett and other railroad officials who invited her to the ranch on Yellowstone park line.
Mrs Harriman remains undecided about an E H Harriman university location with Utah California and Nevada considered while California leads. denial issued to curb further inquiries. A fishing preserve near Keeles Idaho owned by Bancroft Pinkerton and Burley fronts a trout habitat along the Snake River inviting anglers and an accompanying rustic bungalow for parties.
Elbert H. Gary of United States Steel testifies to the House steel trust committee urging reform of the Sherman act and noting a future government role. He cites a Brussels conference to form an International Steel Institute and predicts higher steel rail prices due to labor and material costs and demand for heavier rails.

The Snake River trout preserve, famed for record weight fish and rainbows, has been kept secret by Bancroft, Pinkerton and Burley who owned it for years. They fished the reserve yearly, claimed numerous large trout, and kept many on private display. Agriculture has not been pursued on the preserve.
Wool buyers in Idaho report Bannock county preparing a large spring clip. About 130000 pounds bought at 17 cents by William Jackson's Boston firm boosts local earnings. With 30 days of shearing ahead, Soda Springs counts seven steam plants and two hand corrals, shaping a season to yield 3.5 million pounds of wool worth roughly 600000 dollars at current prices.
Democratic members of the house, after settling party divisions over the wool tariff, plan to push the Underwood bill with a twenty percent ad valorem duty on raw wool. They will refer it to the ways and means committee and expect a favorable report next week.
