Los Angeles July 31 AP District Attorney Asa Keyes said handwriting found in a Carmel cottage rented by Kenne G Ormiston resembled Aimee Semple McPherson's writing and will be submitted to the grand jury. Ford air fliver demo marks birthday curiosity

Detroit on July 31 reports Henry Ford unveiled a tiny monoplane dubbed an air fliver during his 63rd birthday. Made in Ford laboratories and designed by Otto Kappen, the craft weighs around 810 pounds with metal wings, fabric covering, and a three cylinder air cooled engine.

Borah Seeks AFL Mediation in Passaic Strike

Rio Grande Rail Reports June Gains in Revenues

Denver and Rio Grande Western railroad posted higher operating revenues for June rising to 2 728 790 from 1925 levels and a drop in operating costs to 1 078 519 yielding net revenues of 760 260 up 145 657. Six month figures show operating revenue up 667 160 and net revenue up 708 660 with expenses reduced by 201 609.

Baseball Fatality After Hit By Pitch In Christopher

Duquoin Illinois July 31 Marion Vinkham 21 of Christopher Illinois died in a hospital here yesterday after being hit on the head by a pitched ball during a Tuesday baseball game at Christopher. The accident occurred when the ball struck him in the head while he stood at the plate. Vinkham was a member of the Christopher team and died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Senator Borah Heads West as He Presses World Court View

Washington July 31 Teo determined to spend part of the summer presenting views against American adhesion to the World Court. Senator Borah Republican Idaho will leave here Monday for the west. He will go first to Kansas City to outline his prohibition amendment portion and later at Denver discuss the world court. From Denver he will go to Idaho to make that state his headquarters until September.
