Turnkey John K E Robinson and Guards Joseph Brim William De Witt and William H Rogers resigned rather than face discharge. Love burglarized a Shoshone county post office last winter and was serving a 15 year term. He vanished after a supper-table ruse and guards checked him into a cell before the escape was detected the next morning. Detective Gene Johnson and others pursue sightings east toward Mountain Home with trains being guarded.
