El Paso notes Louis Lacha a Mormon from Dublan who arrived with his family says General Salazar warned at Casas Grandes that without American intervention rebels would kill every American and massacre until they cross the border. Salazar called it a direct order from Orozco.
El Paso telegram reports General Salazar addressing rebels who ordered Mormon colonies to surrender arms or join insurgents. He warned Americans in rebel zones to abandon Mexico and stated he would welcome U.S. intervention if American arms are seized, contrasted Mexican hovels with American wealth.
Rebel forces in Los Angeles have opened headquarters as they work to reorganize scattered insurgents, according to a Mexican government agent.
In Los Angeles on July 29 L A Leavitt was excused from the Darrow trial after illness delays. Alternate A M Blakesly replaced him as regular juror following doctors notes predicting a six week recovery. Defense chief Earl Rogers signaled a move to obtain all purported Darrow handwriting from the prosecution.
London officials report a ten week dock workers strike ends as few men resume work after Saturday orders from strike leaders were rejected. The movement loses momentum with minimal crew back at the docks.

Twitchel Cabaniss aged 18 and Clarence Shaw aged 10 confessed to pouring whiskey and gasoline on Roger M. Ellis while he slept on a park bench. They applied a match hoping to frighten him but he burned to death as police tried to tear off his clothes.
Memorial services were held at 10 o'clock this morning in the chapel of the theological school and public funeral services were scheduled for this afternoon at Trinity Methodist Church. Bishop Francis J. McConnell and Bishop Bashford of China and Rev. David H. Fouse will speak at the tribute to the late Bishop Warren.

Binz Germany July 29 bodies of twenty one of the hundred who fell into the sea when a crowd at a band concert on a collapsing landing stage were recovered.
Clyde Jackson cashier at Helper State Bank confessed to embezzling more than 12 000 dollars. Wesley King of a bonding company, who saw Jackson, said the bank will likely stay open after a 10 000 dollar indemnity payment by the surety. Jackson surrendered to the sheriff as accounts were examined.
The Emperor of Japan died today at 12 43 a m from acute nephritis. Crown Prince Yoshihito has succeeded to the throne.
