Austrian Nazis captured Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss at his office after a four hour siege. Civilians at the chancelloery cried that Dollfuss was dead as Nazis smashed the building and a police commissioner announced the chief of the government had been shot.
Los Angeles July 25 AP report says the 30 minute divorce of Mrs William Gibbs McAdoo was turned over to the California state bar for investigation. Judge Frank Collier censured attorney Henry Griv for obtaining the quick separation for the daughter of the late President Wilson. He said the action was irregular and misled the public about court procedures.
