Fire Under Control Near Mountain Home Burns 4000 Acres
A range fire in the Bennett creek area northeast of Mountain Home was brought under control after burning three to four thousand acres of federal and private lands. Crews from the grazing service and Gowen field Boise patrolled the burn area with help from local stockmen. High winds spread the flames through tinder dry grass in rugged terrain.
