Cache Valley farmers from southeastern Idaho seek a two to three year moratorium on federal and state loan payments. Streams Drying Up Hit Clark County Fishermen Hard

Salt Lake City reports a hot spell with 92 at noon and 96 the previous day. The weather bureau forecasts 90 to 100 for Tuesday statewide, with 85 to 95 in the mountains. Moab records 100 to 112 degrees daily, a multi year high for southern Utah as the Pacific Northwest also swelters.

Young Men Rob Service Station

W. H. Ames who runs the Texas company service station at Fifth and Clark reports two youths about 18 entered the office early Sunday and robbed him at gunpoint. One held a small caliber revolver while the other took $50 from the till before fleeing along Clark street.

Fall Sentenced to Prison for Bribery Conviction

Albert B. Fall, former secretary of the interior, was sentenced to a year and a day in New Mexico State Penitentiary after a health cautious journey by ambulance from El Paso to Tres Ritos. Doctors report he is frail but capable of beginning the prison term.

The Eastern Idaho Wool Marketing Association board met in the Valentine building as A H Caine, executive secretary, presented the quarterly report. The gains included 554 new members and 680000 pounds more wool marketed, totaling 4855978 pounds in 1279 consignments and 547000 fleeces. Directors Ephraim Ricks W H Philbrick J S Gardner J H Dredge and George W Thompson attended. H C Wood was in Idaho Falls hospital for a bullet wound.

A fire swept the storage yard of the Winton timber company at Cibbs near Coeur d Alene today. Authorities believe the blaze was started by careless campers and quickly spread through stacks of timber and lumber. Fire crews fought the flames for hours, with damage estimated to be significant. Robbers Shoot Green Bay Chief in Bank Heist

In Green Bay Wisconsin six robbers hit the Southwise State Bank seizing 1500 dollars. State Assists County Roads in Bannock County

Farmer Kills Wife and Stepson Then Takes Own Life

Portales New Mexico July 204 Farmer T E Sartor killed his wife and his 18 year old blind stepson Ralph Hammond Potter at his farm by beating them with an iron bar. He then killed himself after a neighbor witnessed part of the events. Madge Clark escaped unharmed as Sartor pursued her but she ran to a nearby house before he gave chase.

Census of manufacturing lists Idaho establishments and output

The 1930 federal census reports Idaho manufacturing with 564 establishments and 15 656 wage earners earning 22 468 035 in wages and 3 039 125 salaries. Production reached 96 682 764 with value added at 44 551 687 up from 1927. Bannock county shows 33 establishments and 1 047 wage earners with 1 701 478 wages and 7 816 018 in products.
