Copenhagen July 2020 Chancellor statement says a faction would end the war for honorable peace. He notes America's intervention not a serious concern and claims German fleet especially submarines as masters. Reichstag adopts majority peace resolution 214 to 116.

A couple were held for fornication, two men for intoxication and resisting an officer, and a man held for having liquor in his possession with a bottle alleged on his person.
The county clerk’s office buzzed with registrants seeking their draft serial numbers. Each man received a serial that will identify him in the draw, while the registration receipts carry no bearing on the process.

Leadville Colorado officials say during the coming strike all workers should act as law abiding citizens. Miners leave the mines at 7 tomorrow morning and tonight’s graveyard shift is the last. About 5000 men are expected to be involved in a zinc production peak valuable during wartime.
The draft list near completion shows Pocatello contributing a strong tally with more names expected as the drawing nears 3 o clock tomorrow morning. Washington state precincts show sparse registrations with one name in the drawing. Bannock County appears to exceed its quota and Lava Springs is expected to add many more.
Hyattsville Md July 20 The Citizens' Temperance Union completed preparations for a mass meeting to celebrate the signing of the county dry bill by Governor Harrington. The bill, passed at a Maryland special session, makes the county dry on November 1 and aims to prevent the area from serving thirsty residents from surrounding dry districts.
News from Petrograd reports an assassination attempt on War Minister Kerensky in Polotsk today. The gunfire missed the minister, and no one else is cited as harmed.

The council meeting was interrupted Thursday night at 9 15 by a fire department call. Fire at the Crow hotel due to a fallen stovepipe on a hot water heater caused little damage and no injuries. The department received praise for prompt response.
Washington reports that quiet has been restored in Petrograd. Plans for reconstruction of the Russian cabinet, based on party representation as before the crisis, are under way per semi official dispatches.
A complaint of defamation seeks 25000 damages from C H Betty and H B Ray plus costs. It alleges a September conspiracy to arrest the plaintiff on embezzlement charges and claims a midnight arrest at the Nicolett hotel, followed by media publicity. The suit names KFEK as plaintiff through its attorneys and seeks 25000 from each defendant.
