Puerto, Mex July 18 Huerta will depart the north aboard the German cruiser Dresden General Blanquet to accompany him Villa pledges to protect lives and property of Americans and foreigners in his territory The report notes Blanquet as the only companion for the move preparing for peace conditions.
Huerta dictated his resignation reasoning to correspondents. He said he quit to prove devotion to the republic and to conciliate all its sons after arranging international affairs.
General Villa has messaged the state department offering protection for lives and property of Americans and other foreigners in border states under his control. Consul Edwards in El Paso reports Palomas fall rumors denied. only a small band of robbers fought, constitutionalist forces not destroyed, and the city remains in their hands.
