James Joseph Roedl, 27, Oklahoma City, was executed by firing squad at Utah State Prison at daybreak after calmly serving reporters pie. Six Horses Die In Nampa Group Race In Idaho
At least six horses died during an 85 mile two day race won by Willard H. Morton of Boise. Judges cut the return leg to 35 miles after deaths were noted.
