A dispatch from St. Petersburg dated July 11 reports Romanian troops crossing the Bulgarian frontier with no resistance. The Russian press and officials express cautious optimism about the Balkan situation, suggesting peace is generally viewed as imminent.
Bucharest July 11 Roumanian government orders notify Bulgaria that the Roumanian army will cross into Bulgarian territory and will join in discussions on the final partition of former European Turkey territories.
Sofia reports that Romania’s army crossed into Bulgaria and the Bulgarian government has been notified. Bulgaria will not resist the invasion but calls it a provocation and a serious event.
Paris dispatch reports Sofia has instructed its legation to protest vigorously to the French government against Romanian forces invading Bulgarian territory, signaling a diplomatic dispute between Bulgaria and Romania with French involvement.
Roumanian forces seize Silisteria on the Danube right bank today. The ruined Bulgarian border town, with a long history since the Roman era, has repeatedly resisted assaults. Turkish and Bulgarian forces are mentioned in historical context of prior wars.

A Blackfoot Idaho meeting arranged a trial Yellowstone opening to motor traffic with fifty automobiles to escort Secretary Lane and Assistant Secretary Miller.
