Autopsy Conducted On Man Who Died In Jail
Dr H H Hughart performed the autopsy on H F Raun a 67 year old painter of 712 N Harrison who died Sunday in custody. Coroner Arthur W Hall said the cause of death is under investigation. Raun was found unconscious in the block W Fremont and died hours later while in jail. A telegram was sent to Spokane to locate relatives but no reply had been received by noon Tuesday. Raun had come to Pocatello three weeks earlier with E C Bock to work painting jobs across the West.

Police Seek Two Local Girls With Traveling Salesman
Bannock county authorities ask for help locating two Pocatello teens Wilma Tompkins 17 and Charlotte Seibert 17 who left home Saturday with a salesman offering a Britannica job. The man Dick Austin said he planned to take them to St Anthony but no word has come from police. Both girls described as 5 ft 8 and 5 ft 3 with brown and light brown hair. They wore Levi’s and traveled in a black 1946 Plymouth sedan.

Holiday Argument Ends in Fatal Shooting at Blaine Resort
An argument from a Fourth of July party led to the fatal shooting of John Riddell, age about 40, at the Blaine resort on Upper Twin Lakes, northwest of Coeur d'Alene. Deputy Sheriff Cliff Johnson said the incident occurred around 4 am and Riddell died about 30 minutes later from a 32-20 caliber wound.
