London dispatch reports Serb forces prepared to declare war on Bulgaria at Uskup after provocation. King Peter and Premier Pachitch left Belgrade to announce the move by proclamation.
In Saloniki on July 3 official reports say Greek artillery silenced Bulgarian guns and Greek infantry pierced lines at Daudli. Bulgarians withdrawn from the Kirkish plain after a Greek victory. Separately in Geneva 3000 wounded reported from fighting in Macedonia as Servian Red Cross cites heavier casualties.
Belgrade reports Tuesday fighting with Bulgaria ending in Bulgarian losses and a thousand prisoners captured by Servians. Bulgarian force abandoned several batteries of field guns, many rifles, and large amounts of ammunition as casualties reached about 800 dead and 1600 wounded.
Reports from capitals indicate fighting between Servians Greeks and Bulgarians in Macedonia. Serbians and Greeks claim Bulgarian defeat while Bulgarians insist they advance toward Saloniki and press the front against the Serbians.

Several non union ice plants seized yesterday by order of Mayor Hunt were being operated today by the board of health to relieve suffering from a strike of engineers, firemen, drivers and helpers. The plants are in charge of the striking engineers and firemen who were ordered to return to work by union officials under an agreement with the mayor.
Coroner’s jury finds two careless men caused the death of six year old Clinton Sheen at Onyx station Tuesday night when a handcar was struck by westbound No. 17. The boy, the son of D. H. Sheen, died instantly. his father and a new cook were injured. The railroad and crew were exonerated.
Newport July 3 closing sessions of the Progressive conference featured speakers Gifford Pinchot Herbert Knox Smith former commissioner of corporations and Oscar M Strauss Progressive gubernatorial candidate of New York. Smith called the program a demand that natural wealth benefits be shared by all citizens noting current policy places most wealth in private hands for too small a price.
