The revenue bill moved to the governor for signature after near unanimous approval in both houses. The measure mirrors the old bill and is expected to be signed promptly. A resolution to adjourn at four this afternoon was also passed.

The Idaho state senate approved the revenue bill by a wide vote and amended it to gain executive approval. Leaders set adjournment for 4 PM as both houses agreed to the resolution to end the session. House bill No. 35 passed 57 to 2 with all Democrats except one voting yes.
Frankfort Kentucky January 31 The legislature passed a bill today providing a fine for tipping waiters and porters.
Law reenforcement bars strikers from Anna Laposso funeral as Ettor and Giovanetti face hearings. Ettor pleads not guilty to charges of being accessories to murder while militia guard the police station.
In Los Angeles on January 31 observers expect Bert H. Franklin former McNamara detective now jailed for bribery to be the state’s chief witness in the Darrow trial. The defense is said to challenge Franklin’s loyalties arguing he served the state while employed as a confidential agent of the McNamara defense.
President Taft, pleased with Ohio reception, will conclude his stay in Akron addressing the chamber of commerce. National Committeeman Vorys says Ohio delegates to the national convention will back Taft. He meets editors and attends the constitutional convention, urging editors to tell the whole story to the people.
Preparations for the examination tomorrow of Frank Morrison secretary of the American Federation of Labor are under way. Mrs. L. E. B. Wallace bookkeeper of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers was questioned by a grand jury today. The supposed inquiry concerns the federation money dealings tied to J. J. McNamara and special affairs.
Los Angeles on January 31 Charles Dean known as Hoffman fights extradition for alleged complicity in the New Westminster bank robbery His attorneys plan to appeal at the February 5 hearing and push the matter to the secretary of state and the president.
A lone highwayman identified as B. Hardy of Denver held up the Winchester hotel clerk and guests in San Francisco today and escaped with 875 dollars.
Trinidad Colorado reports James Boyd formerly of Glasgow a tea merchant and Lipton partner died in the pauper ward of a local hospital. He attributed his downfall to a dissolute wife and said his fortune was given to her after a troubled marriage.

Great interest spreads across the country for the twenty round bout tonight between One Round Hogan and Harlem Tommy Murphy. Both are viewed as possible opponents for light heavyweight champion Ad Wolgast, with Hogan rising after decisive beatings of Knockout Brown and Battling Nelson and favored in bets.
Oi Sen a Chinese woman was arrested in Billings for alleged involvement in the Seid Bing murder. Bing's body was found in a trunk in Seattle. Sen was taken to Portland and refused to talk but agreed to proceed with extradition papers.
Topeka Kansas January 31 Major T J Anderson former general agent for the Santa Fe Rock Island and Union Pacific in the early days died today in Topeka aged 74.
Earl Thomas a Short Line fireman near Pocatello was accidentally shot in the right leg by cousin Ralph Thomas while jack rabbit hunting four miles east of the city. He died at Pocatello General Hospital from blood loss after midnight. Karl Thomas, oldest child of J. F. Thomas, mourns two sisters and four brothers. funeral plans to be announced.
In Beaver Oklahoma on January 31 Sima Brown theatre proprietor was killed and partially eaten by hogs. He had kept his car near a hog lot and it is believed he fell or was dragged and attacked by the animal.
New York Evening Post seeks publication of letters between Governor Wilson and Colonel Harvey. Wilson apologizes for earlier remarks about the Manhattan club and expresses gratitude for Harvey’s support. Harvey replies noting public service motives and ceasing weekly advocacy. Wilson replies again, regretting any hurt and reaffirming admiration. Continued on Page Four.
