At the RAF redistribution center in Santa Monica Col. William Lewis awarded Meritorious Service honors to two Idaho servicemen. Capt. Dale F. Tarbet of Idaho Falls received an Oak Leaf Cluster for destroying an enemy plane and 10 fighter sorties in the South Pacific during 1943. Sgt. Delbert C. Rhoads of Osborn earned an Oak Leaf Cluster for five heavy bomber sorties in the South Pacific in 1943.

Parolee in Custody for Burglary in Boulder

Samuel W. Franklin, a parolee granted a pardon on January 13 1944, left the Idaho State Penitentiary today under a hold order from Boulder Colorado. Warden Sam Pearch said Franklin waived extradition and will be taken to Boulder to face burglary charges. He started a two to 14 year term for forgery in Jerome County on March 5 1942.

Sun Publisher Dies at 67 in New York

William T. Dewart longtime executive and president of the Sun Printing and Publishing Company died age 67 in New York. He rose from a $12 weekly office manager to leading publisher after Frank A.
