London January 27 The Big Five meet at Downing Street as Britain cancels construction of two new cruisers amid efforts toward a tonnage plan to limit fleets. Italy’s parity issue and an allied declaration on sovereign naval rights are explored, with no plan yet accepted.
In Salt Lake City Jan 27 AP the mother of two was shot and critically wounded in her apartment. Police arrested 25 year old Joe Correa the alleged admirer who left a note stating my boy saw Joe Correa kill me. The wounded woman Mrs Alvira Nay Morano remains in critical condition. Her husband Daniel Morano apart from the case had been estranged.
