Aspen Democrat Representative Judkins created an uproar by alleging he was told that unless he voted for Denver Mayor Speer for United States senator his bills would be killed. He refused to name the threatener. The Denver House meeting adjourned without action.
A lawmaker testified that he felt pressure from other members regarding votes for Speer. He insisted he did not claim direct instructions but said not supporting certain measures and a particular candidate could harm his legislation.

F H Hilliard president of the Pocatello Commercial club in a maiden address at the Y M C A night before last urged members to boost for a bigger Pocatello.
