On February 19, 1919 at 10 a m at the County Court House south door in Pocatello Bannock County Idaho the property will be sold to the highest cash bidder per foreclosure decree. Sheriff GEO E MABBY signs the notice with Deputy GUY NELSON.
Stockholm dispatch reports the Swedish government issued an ultimatum to the Bolshevik legation in Sweden demanding departure by January 25. The Poltiken account confirms the deadline and note Sweden acts under protest.
Paris reports Lithuanian forces defeated Bolshevik troops near Koszedary between Kovno and Vilna. Bolshevik casualties were heavy, while Lithuanian losses were slight.

Secretary Glass and Eugene Meyer Jr oversee the effort to keep prices near par by buying market offerings, mainly third and fourth Liberty bonds, with annual limits of 208 million and 350 million dollars respectively.
Louis F. Swift of Swift and Co testified before the House Interstate Commerce Committee on a bill for government control of the meat packing industry. He argued that packers held investments in banks and market publications were not used to influence live stock shipments or prices.
The second session of the peace congress opens with labor rights on the agenda. Proposals call for international protection of labor, freedom to work abroad on equal terms, child and female labor protection, an eight hour day, and bans on night work for minors. The United States and allies seek safeguards against capital control and aim for unified action across U S England and France.

The U S Employment office at 211 South Main Street asks all employers to report current labor needs including skilled and common labor. An examiner notes increasing calls from men seeking work, including returning soldiers, and urges employers to cooperate by listing openings with the office and the local Bureau for Returning Soldiers and Sailors advising the effort.
