Silver Tariff Placed Before State Chamber
At a late afternoon meeting of the resolutions committee of the State Chamber of Commerce in Bannock, recommendations were made to submit for adoption. Transfusion of Chicken Blood Cures Boy From Pneumonia
Lincoln Nebraska January 16 UPI reports a six year old Gene Roland survived a severe pneumonia after a trial transfusion of chicken blood. Four anesthetized chickens donated blood, processed for hours, and 30 cubic centimeters were placed into the boy’s vein. The technique, untried in the region, halted the pneumonia germs though the child remains very ill in one lung.
