H W Corbett of Pocatello announced this week that a strike ballot taken January 12 1946 by trainmen groups including the Order of Railway Conductors and Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers will likely be withdrawn at a February 3 meeting in Omaha. Hay Chopper Fatality Near Twin Falls
Carl Dedman, 50, died after slipping into a hay chopper at the John Miller ranch northwest of Twin Falls. Coroner Wayne Scow cited loss of blood and shock. sheriff Broda Rayborn said his coat caught on the loading fork, pulling him into the machine. The body required dismantling the device for removal. Dedman ran a bird farm nearby.

Sex slayer sought after girl found dead near Los Angeles

Auto Carries 2 to Death in Coos Bay Ferry Incident
