Governor C A Robins presented an 86,092,890.14 dollar two year budget to the Idaho legislature with a 15 14 million dollar rise over the present biennium. He cut 3 305 467.31 from requested appropriations and cited tax revenue estimates for 1949 51 including 13 million from income tax and 3 015 million from cigarettes with gasoline revenue at about 21 million. Survivor Lies Five Days In Wreckage
Mrs. Andy De Freitas, 24, of Burbank, is in critical condition in Bakersfield after five days trapped in a snowbound plane wreck on Bear mountain. Her companions died including her husband, Mrs Eve Williams, and pilot Robert Glee. A rescue party found De Freitas and the others near Taft. Dr. Robert H. Dykes aided the rescue and speculated on how she survived.
