The U S court of appeals affirmed the conviction of James M Curley Boston mayor and former congressman and two co-defendants on mail fraud charges. J M Jones of the National Wool Growers association told the Idaho Wool Growers convention in Pocatello that U S imports of foreign wool reached 739 million pounds in the first eight months of 1946 and tariffs should be raised or quotas set to protect domestic producers. Snowstorm Dims Utah With Wide Snowfall
A Canadian storm crossing Montana and Idaho blanketed Utah with six to seven tenths of an inch in Salt Lake City and heavier totals across the Wasatch foothills.
