Tokio reports Kobe shipyard completed the steel steamer Daifuku Maru of 9600 tons in 23 days after keel laying. The feat is contrasted with a 5000 ton steel steamer built in 27 days at Camden, New Jersey.
Seven prominent Mexican American residents of Tucson and Douglas were arrested on charges of smuggling arms into Mexico linked to a new revolutionary movement. The case will be presented to the federal grand jury currently in session.

The municipality plans to buy in bulk and sell at reduced rates. One paper reports about 90 percent of Indian suppliers were victims of the scourge.

Speculation centers on Samuel J. Graham as a leading candidate, with Cabinet resignations discussed amid talk of career moves.
London reports fighting resumed in Berlin after the armistice fractured. Spartacan forces suffer about 1500 killed with many wounded since the revolution began. Thirteen thousand government troops arrived in Berlin on Saturday.
