Idaho Senate considers transferring the Soldiers Home to the federal government to become a national home. Debate centers on printing all bills and the cost of stationery, with amendments proposed to Rule 25 and a push to limit unnecessary printing while preserving essential capitol needs.
The House spent the forenoon debating a printing rule. Representative Moore won his fight, limiting printing to bills reported favorably by committees. Previously all bills after first and second readings were sent to proper committees and then to the printing committee.
F Hr Polzheimer, Idaho lawyer and former Utah resident, testifies about Idaho polygamy and the anti Mormon plank at the Idaho Democratic convention. He claims Denver alone had fifteen thousand fraudulent registrations and at least ten thousand fraudulent votes, enough to overturn the 9774 vote lead for Adams.
Samuel Spencer president of the Southern railway testified for major lines including New York Central St Paul Illinois Central and Northern Pacific against the Cooper Quarles bill and any measure enabling the Interstate Commerce Commission to set railway rates. His remarks represented the railways opposition and were seen as the keynote against government rate making.

New York reports the run on the State bank continued with weather delays. A line of women formed on Grand Avenue before the bank, and by opening time around four hundred small depositors waited. A truck delivered fifty sacks of silver and the cash yesterday totaled many thousands of dollars.
